The 0-to-1,000 Playbook
The first 1,000 organic visitors typically take 3-6 months. Here is the fastest path:
Month 1: Foundation
- Set up your blog with proper technical SEO (sitemap, robots.txt, meta tags, structured data)
- Research 30 low-competition keywords (under 30 KD) in your niche
- Write and publish 8 posts targeting these keywords
- Set up Google Search Console and submit your sitemap
Month 2: Volume
- Publish 8-12 more posts, continuing to target low-competition keywords
- Build internal links between related posts
- Start building topical clusters around your core topic
- Share posts on relevant communities (not spam — genuine value)
Month 3: Optimization
- Check Search Console for keywords you rank 5-20 for
- Optimize those posts: improve title tags, add content, strengthen headings
- Continue publishing 2-3 posts per week
- Guest post on 2-3 relevant sites for backlinks
Keyword Selection Is Everything
The biggest mistake new sites make is targeting competitive keywords. Target keywords with:
- Low competition — KD under 30
- Clear intent — Informational or commercial
- Long-tail — 4+ words (more specific = less competition)
- Relevant to your product — Readers should be potential customers
Why Most Sites Fail
- They target keywords that are too competitive
- They publish 5 posts and give up after 2 months
- They ignore technical SEO fundamentals
- They do not build internal links between posts
